Berwickshire & North Roxburgh now incorporates the towns of Hawick and Jedburgh that were not previously allocated to any small-scale multiplex licence area. The Dundee & North East Fife licence area includes areas that would have been covered by the previously-advertised Dundee and East Fife licence areas. The South West Fife licence area covers some of the areas that would have been covered by the previously-advertised Dunfermline & Kinross and Glenrothes & Kirkcaldy licence areas.

The Scottish transmitters using Block 12A were reported briefly to be transmitting a distinct ensemble labelled D1 Scotland with a different EId - albeit with the same services lineup - compared with D1 National in the rest of the UK on Block 11D. Since then, Block 12A in Scotland has reverted to broadcasting the same ensemble as rest of the UK. During its brief appearance, D1 Scotland appeared to be using the same EId as the local ensemble Wolv'ton & Shrop.

In Estonia, the current trial broadcasts will cease overnight, with full-service transmissions beginning in the morning of September 1st. There will be a period of no transmissions approximately between midnight and 6am. Estonia's public-service broadcaster reports that the new transmissions will begin in Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Koeru, and Valgjärve. In October, the networks are expected to be expanded to include Haapsalu, Kohtla-Nõmme in Ida-Viru County, Orissaare in Saaremaa, and Pehka in Lääne-Viru County.

The UK regulator has revoked the "small-scale" licences awarded in Round Five for Eastbourne, Newhaven & Lewes; Haywards Heath & Uckfield; and South West Sussex. The operators had informed Ofcom that they no longer intended to proceed to launch.
In the cases of Eastbourne, Newhaven & Lewes and Haywards Heath & Uckfield, the licences had been awarded to the sole applicants. Ofcom has announced that it does not intend to re-advertise these areas in Round Eight but does not rule out re-advertising them at some point in the future if there is sufficient expressed demand. There were more than one applicants for South West Sussex, and Ofcom will re-advertise this area in Round Eight.

In Finland, a trial ensemble is operating on Block 9A from transmitters at Hankasalmelta and Jyväskylästä. Built and operated by volunteers, the ensemble broadcasts the service Radio Hami, which itself is a volunteer station. The broadcasts, reported by the Finnish website Mediamonitori, began last summer. These are believed to be the first DAB/DAB+ transmissions in the country since the public-service broadcaster YLE ended its pilot in 2005.

The new transmissions are reported in an accouncement from Factum Radioscape, whose equipment is being used with the participation of Radio Mais. Currently operating at low power, the ensemble is reported to have at least three audio services on board - Radio More, K Radio, and P7 Nosta.

In Germany, the media regulator for Nordrhein-Westfalen has advertised capacity on a forthcoming regional ensemble for Münsterland. All 864 Capacity Units are on offer. This is the remaining ensemble in the new regional layer. The other five areas were advertised in April 2024. At the time, frequency resources had not yet been identified to permit an allocation for Münsterland. The advertisement specifies a minimum of 54 CUs being used for each audio service. The closing date for applications is September 17th 2025.

In Ireland, a new year-long trial of DAB+ has been announced.
FáilteDAB has announced that the trial, to be operated by Foothold Communications, should begin in April 2025, using six transmission sites initially. The operator's published coverage prediction map shows coverage centred on Dublin but potentially reaching as far west as Mulingar, Tullamore and Portlaoise and as far north as Dundalk. To the south, reception could be possible as far as Rosslare.

In Switzerland, the public-service broadcaster has ceased using FM for radio broadcasting. The transmissions fell silent at 00:00:30 and transmitters were switched off at 00:02:30. Public-service radio broadcasting in Switzerland is now available by DAB+, IP or on cable networks. Private-sector radio broadcasting is expected to use FM until at least the end of 2026, although some services may reduce their network footprints before then.

On some receivers, this results in an unlabelled service appearing to be present in the receiver's services list. If selected, the affected receiver then hangs. This is probably the UK's, if not the world's, longest-running suspected mis-configuration.
